I’ve been sick, which makes me lazy. One more digital sketch before the paints start to flow. This one was inspired by Seli. Only a five-year-old could come up with a “Ninja Balloon.”
Finally starting the process of taking these digital sketches, making pen sketches, and using them to begin the painting process.
Walking Skull
I was putting together an image that I wanted to hand draw, maybe paint, when it took on a life of it’s own. I’m still going to hand do this one, but this is a finished image in it’s own right.
City Breakfast
Bajada Balta, our neighborhood. Not much to say about this one…I think I’m ready for some sun.
Fresh Fish
This is our view from the office of Miraflores. Originally the little man was fly-fishing, but things tend to evolve on their own… Something about this image just doesn’t feel right to me, but Amy said I should put it up. As our mantra goes, I’m possibly right, she’s probably right.
I may be cheating on the post a day thing, but I want to share this. It’s a sketch my grandpa made ages ago. It’s always inspired me, and as I look into turning my sketches into paintings, I have a feeling I’m going to be borrowing a lot from his style.
A tribute to Juan Giménez. Again, digital sketch for a painting. The photo is one I took of Mount St. Helens from a plane.
Photo with 1 note
Beach Breakfast
Took a picture of an old firetruck in Punta Negra. Another digital sketch that will become a painting.
